Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult

I just read my first book by Jodi Picoult. It took a little to get used to her writing, but i really did enjoy it. She writes each chapter in a different persons persons perspective, which makes it very interesting and gives you what feels like the whole story from everyone angle. So, the story is not one sided. You feel the emotion of each character. This book starts out with a mother who loses her husband in a car accident and is left to raise her daughter on her own. She then remarries and becomes pregnant with the new husband. She comes home from a prenatal appointment and finds the new husband and her daughter murdered! You feel such pain then for her to have lost three people now. The story then lets you get to know the person on death row for the murders. You get to know the person through his spiritual advisor and lawyer. The murderer is able to perform so called miracles and the books dives a lot into faith. Many people feel like the inmate is Jesus. Not to give too much away, but the lady from the beginning who has lost two husbands and a child now has her new daughter, who at 11 needs a heart transplant or she will die.

It was an emotional story. Very well written and i very much enjoyed it. I bought this book from the library for a quarter and it was worth that quarter!
