Victoria Dahl -- A Little Bit Wild

A Little Bit WildPublication Date: August 1, 2010
Pages: 329
My Rating:

Genre: Historical Romance

Summary:  Marissa is a little bit curious about the opposite sex, or make that very curious about the opposite sex.  She likes passion and she likes the way men make her feel.  So one night after a dance and a little too much wine, she finds herself in bed with Peter White, who is not much of a pleaser to her.  Her family is in shambles of this getting out and ruining her and the families reputation. They need to marry Marissa off quickly and get rid of Peter White who has proclaimed his love to Marissa. So in steps family friend Jude Bertrand. Marissa has never noticed him, as he is not the "pretty" type of man that usually catches her eye. However, Jude is willing to show Marissa the difference between a man and a boy.

My Thoughts:
I loved this book. The beginning of the books had me hooked. Chapter 1 is her mistake with Peter White and it immediately draws you in to who Marissa is with her carefree attitude about what she has done.  Marissa is very curious about men and the things that a man could do for her. She shows no remorse when it comes to her behavior. She also has quite the fascination with mens thighs. That I have to say, I have never really paid attention too. However after reading this book, I think I just might need to pay attention to mens thighs a little but more!
I love the male character Jude. He was perfect for Marissa and gave her the battle she needed. I would have liked a little more insight into his head during the book. I think that is my only complaint. Especially towards the end. I would have liked to know a little more about his struggle with his feelings toward Marissa. Other then that, I enjoyed the book and still give it 5 stars.
This was my first historical fiction romance by Victoria Dahl. I have read all 4 of her contemporary romances. This book A Little Bit Wild is going to be the first in a series by her and I can't wait to read the next. (Hey Victoria....remember me when you  need your new one reviewed!).  I have to say, if you  have not read this author and you have thought about it, this book or Talk Me Down is a great place to start.

This one sounds really good. I have a feeling that I would love Victoria Dahl if I ever read her books. I've put this one and all of her books on the Wish List O'Doom.

Great review!
