My Thoughts: You have two main characters in the book; Ron who is the rich "white" man in this story and Denver who is the homeless"black" man in this story. This was a story about a modern day slave, an international art dealer, and the unlikely woman who bound them together. I enjoyed this story for the most part. There were times I found my mind drifting else where. I sometimes have a hard time with memoirs. So, I must admit, I did have a hard time reading this one.  I enjoyed the parts with Deborah very much. She was a very eye opening woman.  This book is a tear jerker, so be ready near the end to need a box of tissues. It will be sad but also happy tears.


I think if your looking for a moving read, this is a good choice to pick up. Also, if you are a memoir fan, this is also a good choice..
