Heart of the Matter -- Emily Giffin

I love Emily Giffin and i love her enough to have bought her book brand new! So, it arrived Monday and today i finally had a chance to dive into it. And i read it all today. It was impossible to put down. She did a great job again! And if you have read anything by her, then you will love the Rachel and Dex tie into this book.

To not give too much away, this book is pretty much about two different women, Tessa and Valerie. Tessa is a stay at home mom who struggles with the day to day life of that. Her husband is a pediatric surgeon with long hours. Valerie is a single mom who is raising her son on her own. Her son is in an accident which then brings him under Tessa's husbands care and then the story begins there. Every other chapter is written in each women's point of view. It was amazing to me how when reading Valerie's story, you were on her side and when reading Tessa's you were on hers. To get the gist of what i am talking about, you will have to check out the book.

And as always, the ending is left wide open for you to decide what happens. I would love it if Emily would write a short story book of short stories for all her books to let us know what the characters did after her books ended!

I give this book 5 stars all the way!
