I have been trying out the genre western romance for awhile. I think I am on my 4th attempt now on this genre and well, I still am not loving it. Each time I have tried a different author to see if that makes a difference and so far it just hasn't made me want to pick up another. I have two books coming up in the next few months for review that I have received in this genre. I think if I don't like those, then maybe it just isn't for me.
Currently I am reading I Love This Bar by Carolyn Brown. It really hasn't caught my attention. I am enjoying it to an extent. I am going to push through it. The story line is good. I just can't pin point what it is that I am not liking. Being a Georgia girl, I would think some of the country dialect I could relate to but it seems to just get to me for some reason. It is this author in particular, its all of them.
I have not tried an Linda Leal Miller book yet. I have one of hers that I actually picked up a few months back and maybe I should. I know a lot of bloggers who read her and have loved her. Does anyone recommend a specific author or book that might change my opinion on this genre?
So tell me, what genre can you really not get into?

I have one I just can't get into. First, highlander romance. I have tried and tried, but I can't deal with the Scottish thing. So many people love it, but it's just not working for me. And truth be told, I don't really like the western genre either. And in both, it's the dialect that just ruins it for me, particularly in the highlander romances.
