Interview: June Stevens-on her upcoming book

Welcome to Beck’s Book Picks.  Today I have June Stevens. This is a different kind of interview, I'm interviewing her about a book that she is still writing! Yup, you heard right. Sit back and grab a drink and enjoy this interview and then be sure to add Voodoo Moon to your TBR list.

Tell us a little about yourself?
Thank you so much for having me!  I am a thirty-@#$# year old wife, stepmom, sister, and auntie.  I have been a freelance writer, editor and ghost writer for several years.  I recently founded Curvalicious Living Magazine(http://curvaliciousliving.com), where I am editor in chief.  In my “day job” I am a court advocate for victims of domestic violence.

Tell us a little about your latest release and how you came up with the idea?
Well, it hasn’t been released yet.  What I am doing is the Idea to Novel Experiment:
I am attempting to take a novel from idea to published novel in 6 months.  And I am doing it publicly by blogging about it. The idea came about as a way to motivate myself to seriously participate in NaNoWriMo, and focus on getting a full length novel written.  I figured the pressure of writing the book publicly would make me stick to it this year.  I also think it’s a good way to show just how my book for writers, The Story Cookbook: An Organized Approach to Fiction Writing (http://curvywriter.info/blog/?page_id=33), can be used to help develop a book.

Pepper Anthony: Amazon Bestseller: Interview and Review of Macy's Awakening

I am very excited to have Pepper Anthony on the blog today. On October 17th, 2011 her new release Macy's Awakening came available to  buy as an ebook and she has already made it into the top 100 in erotica on kindle/amazon. That is quite the accomplishment.

Welcome to Beck’s Book Picks. I am very excited to have you here today.

Tell us a little about yourself?
I’m married, the mother of two grown sons, and I live outside Portland, Oregon. After getting my kids raised it’s finally my turn to pursue my writing career.

Tell us a little about your latest release and how you came up with the idea?
Macy’s Awakening is the story of a young black woman who discovers the joys of sex with her hunky, middle-aged attorney. I’ve always been attracted to the idea of an older man teaching an innocent young woman the ways of the world. It’s a hot idea.

Character Interview: Breaking Delia's Rules by W. Lynn Chantale

First I want to say how honored I am to have you on Beck’s Book Picks today. I am interviewing Delia from Breaking Delia's Rules by W. Lynn Chantale

1.  Hi Delia, I am excited to sit with you today and get to know you. First up, can you list your rules, since your story is all about the handsome Jace breaking them all?
Hi, what a beautiful place you have here, thanks for having me today. Okay, my rules are very simple. First, a man should never assume he’s the only one. Second, he needs to stick to his scheduled day and time. And third, this is the really important one, no sex. I know Jace took great pleasure in breaking that particular one.

Interview & Giveaway: J.M. Powers: Basket OF Hope

**Comment for your chance to win a copy of this e-book.**

Welcome to Beck’s Book Picks. I am very excited to have you here today.

Tell us a little about yourself?
I’m multi-faceted, but boring. Ha. I’m a homebody. My family is everything to me. My vices are, coffee, chocolate and writing. Hm... what else can I tell you? Well, I am a faithful friend, and fantastic secret-keeper. I’m unwavering when it comes to standing up for the underdog. Okay, I’m starting to feel weird talking about myself like I want a medal or something. *takes sip of coffee and pops a couple of m&m’s* Let’s move on. *grin*

How long have you been writing and when was your first book published?
I’ve written since I could hold a fat pencil in my hand—before I could spell really.( I was a phonic speller for a while—then I started asking my parents to help.)
An online writer community and Breathless Press collaborated and held an international contest. I won—much to my surprise and glee. My first book , Stellar Surprise, was published with Breathless Press in 2009. The rest is history.
Basket of Hope is my second publication with Breathless Press,  and I have another book coming out this year with another publisher.

Sometimes it’s the person you least expect who can satisfy all your desires.

By day Amber’s a librarian, and by night she hides away writing erotic romance novels. She has just one problem—not enough sexual experience to pull from. A recent steamy dream leaves Amber wondering if her neighbor Jax might be just the guy who can help her. He seems almost perfect to use as a sexual guinea pig, especially since she doesn’t have to worry about falling in love with him.

Jax has lived next door to Amber for a year and has tried everything he can think of to get her to notice him, but it hasn’t worked. Until recently. When Amber approaches him asking for his help, he’s ready to jump on board. When he learns exactly what kind of help she needs, he’s definitely willing.

Becoming involved with someone like Jax simply isn’t an option for Amber. He barely works, can’t manage his money, and has no ambition in life. So why does he suddenly seem so right for her?

Content Warning: explicit sex

Interview: Juniper Bell

Welcome to Beck’s Book Picks. I am very excited to have you here today.
I’m very excited to be here! Thanks for having me.

Tell us a little about yourself?
I write erotic romance for Samhain and Ellora’s Cave – mostly contemporary but I’ve also delved into historical with a Regency ménage. I live in a cabin in Alaska with my almost brand new husband (we got married New Year’s Eve but it feels like yesterday). I have two stepdaughters. We spend a lot of time shoveling snow, chopping firewood and planning trips to Hawaii.

Tell us a little about your latest release and how you came up with the idea?
My latest release is called GO DEEP and it’s part of a series set during a winter festival during which “anything goes, nothing counts.” In GO DEEP, a married couple uses Wild Nights as an opportunity to break out of their comfort zone and explore their true sexual desires. I came up with the idea because getting married made me think a lot about intimacy and secrets and trust. You can still choose to keep things hidden or share them. But what better opportunity to let someone really, truly know you?

Guest Pose: JoAnne Kenrick

I'm psyched to be here at Becks Book Picks! *Waves hi* Thanks so much for hosting a stop on my book tour with Sizzling PR, and helping me celebrate the release of Sweet Irish Kiss which is my first addition to the multi-author www.decadentpublishing.com series called 1NightStand. Yes, I said my first because I've a second that comes out in October. Dracula's Kiss. If you love vampire romance, and are rather partial to a sexy Scotsman and spooky castle ruins with connections to Bram Stoker's Dracula, then you'll LOVE IT!
The series is based around Madame Evangeline's match-making skills. A woman to be reckoned with, and owner of a highly successful matchmaking service; put the right two people together for just one night and anything is possible. Especially when the dates take place at the fabulous Castillo Hotels and Resorts in some of the most exotic places in the world. As a Brit myself, you'll notice a strong British flavor to all my 1NightStand stories.

Character Interview (Giveaway): Romancing The Countess by Ashley March

Please sit back and enjoy. I loved this book and hope to get my review posted soon. I sat down with Sebastian Madinger, The Earl of Writhosly and got an interview. :)

I am very excited to get to sit down today with Sebastian Madinger, the Earl of Wriothesly.
I assure you, Miss Rebecca, it is my pleasure to be here. You’re certain this is the equivalent of shouting my love for Leah from the rooftops? She told me she would kill me if she ever found me climbing up to the roof…

First up, tell us how you and Leah are doing now? The story after the happy ending.
My wife is an amazing woman. Although I didn’t think I could fall in love with her any further, she continues to give me more reasons every day to love her more. Don’t tell her I told you this, though—she’d tease me unmercifully.

As you know, she very much wanted to have a child of her own. Although I know she would have been content with Henry as our only son, I’m happy—very well, I’m ecstatic—to tell you that after a miscarriage, Leah is just weeks away from giving birth to our first child together. I’ve never seen her look more beautiful. And I’ve never been more nervous. But don’t tell her that, either—I’m her rock through her own anxiety.

Interview: Josi Kilpack

Welcome to Beck’s Book Picks. I am very excited to have Josi Kilpack here today.

Tell us a little about yourself?
Well, I’m a mother of four, I’ve written 14 books, I live in the country, I run and can fruit and work in my church and my husband’s business and vacuum when I have to. All those things contribute to make me completely neurotic but when I’m not overwhelmed I don’t know what to do so I stay sufficiently overwhelmed to remain comfortable.

Tell us a little about your latest release and how you came up with the idea?
Pumpkin Roll is the 6th  book in the Sadie Hoffmiller Culinary Mystery series. As the series gets longer I get more and more worried about keeping the books fresh and not repeating the plotlines, which led me to this story which is set in Boston at Halloween and has Sadie asking herself if ghost stories are really stories at all. It’s a little creepier than my other books but presents Sadie with new challenges that were really fun to throw at her. And although the book is #6 in the series, each of the books stand alone and don’t give away other books so they can be read in any order.
